Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) issued 562 Invitations to Apply (ITAs) to Provincial Nominee Program candidates in the latest Express Entry draw held on August 31, 2026.
Candidates required a minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 697 to receive an invitation in the draw.
IRCC applied a tie-breaking rule of April 12, 2026 at 04:32:26 UTC. This means that where more than one candidate had the minimum CRS score of 697, priority was given based on the date and time their Express Entry profiles were submitted.
The latest round focused exclusively on candidates who had received a provincial nomination through one of Canada’s Provincial Nominee Program streams connected to Express Entry.
A provincial nomination gives an Express Entry candidate 600 additional CRS points, which can significantly increase their chances of receiving an invitation for Canadian permanent residence.
Candidates who received an ITA in the August 31 draw can now proceed with their permanent residence applications and should ensure that their documents and information are complete and accurate before submission.
