Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) issued 2,000 Invitations to Apply (ITAs) to Canadian Experience Class candidates in the latest Express Entry draw held on September 1, 2026.
Candidates needed a minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 521 to receive an invitation.
The draw follows another Express Entry round held just a day earlier on August 31, when IRCC invited 562 Provincial Nominee Program candidates with a minimum CRS score of 697.
Together, the two rounds saw 2,562 candidates invited to apply for Canadian permanent residence within two days.
For the September 1 Canadian Experience Class draw, IRCC applied a tie-breaking rule of August 18, 2026 at 03:24:13 UTC. Where more than one candidate had the minimum CRS score of 521, the cut-off was based on the date and time their Express Entry profiles were submitted.
The latest round focused exclusively on candidates under the Canadian Experience Class, one of the federal economic immigration programs managed through Express Entry.
The Canadian Experience Class is designed for skilled workers who have qualifying Canadian work experience and meet the program’s other eligibility requirements.
Candidates who received an ITA now have 60 days to submit their permanent residence application through Express Entry. Canada
