Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has issued 3,000 Invitations to Apply (ITAs) to Canadian Experience Class (CEC) candidates in the latest Express Entry draw held on August 5, 2026.
Candidates required a minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 516 to receive an invitation.
IRCC also applied a tie-breaking rule of July 3, 2026, at 21:35:13 UTC. This means that where multiple candidates had the minimum CRS score of 516, only those who submitted their Express Entry profiles before that date and time received an invitation.
The latest round continues IRCC’s use of category-specific Express Entry draws, with this invitation round focusing exclusively on candidates in the Canadian Experience Class.
The Canadian Experience Class is designed for skilled workers who have gained eligible work experience in Canada and meet the programme’s language and other eligibility requirements.
Candidates who received an Invitation to Apply can now begin preparing their application for permanent residence and must ensure that all supporting documents are complete and accurate before submitting them within the required deadline.
