Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has issued 300 Invitations to Apply (ITAs) for permanent residence in the latest Express Entry draw targeting candidates in transport occupations.
The draw was held on August 7, 2026, with candidates requiring a minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 470 to receive an invitation.
According to IRCC, the round was conducted under Transport Occupations, 2026-Version 2, with candidates needing to rank 300 or above in the Express Entry pool.
IRCC also applied a tie-breaking rule of October 11, 2025, at 14:55:49 UTC. Where more than one candidate had the minimum CRS score of 470, the cut-off was determined by the date and time their Express Entry profiles were submitted.
The August 7 draw follows a busy week for Express Entry invitations. IRCC held a Provincial Nominee Program draw on August 4, followed by a Canadian Experience Class draw on August 5 and a French-language proficiency draw on August 6.
The latest invitation round targeted eligible candidates in transport occupations, reflecting IRCC’s use of category-based selection to invite candidates with work experience in occupations identified under specific economic priorities.
Candidates who received an ITA can now proceed with their permanent residence applications and should ensure that the information in their Express Entry profiles remains accurate and that all required supporting documents are prepared before submission.
