IRCC has issued 5,000 Invitations to Apply (ITAs) in its latest Express Entry round for candidates with French-language proficiency.
According to Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC), the draw took place on October 16, 2026, at 10:25:13 UTC, with a Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) cut-off score of 435 for the lowest-ranked candidate invited.
Candidates needed to rank 5,000 or above in the invitation round to receive an ITA.
The draw highlights the continued importance of French-language proficiency in Canada’s category-based Express Entry selection system, providing an opportunity for eligible candidates with strong French skills to receive an invitation at a CRS score below those required in some other types of draws.
For candidates who received an invitation, the next step is to prepare and submit a complete permanent residence application with accurate information and the required supporting documents.
Candidates who were not invited can review their CRS scores, language results, work experience and overall Express Entry profiles to understand their current position and identify areas that may strengthen their future prospects.
