Express Entry Draw: IRCC Issues 4,000 Invitations in Latest Canadian Experience Class Round

Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has issued 4,000 invitations in its latest Express Entry draw under the Canadian Experience Class (CEC), marking the largest CEC-specific draw since March 2026.

The draw took place on June 23, 2026, at 12:52:12 UTC.

The minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score required to receive an invitation was 516, while the tie-breaking rule was April 14, 2026, at 00:03:10 UTC.

This means candidates with a CRS score of 516 needed to have submitted their Express Entry profile before the tie-breaking date and time to receive an invitation.

The latest round follows a Provincial Nominee Program draw conducted on June 22, 2026, which issued 955 invitations, continuing Canada’s recent pattern of holding Provincial Nominee Program and Canadian Experience Class draws in close succession.

What the Latest Draw Means for Applicants

The latest draw is encouraging news for Canadian Experience Class candidates who have faced rising CRS cut-offs and smaller draw sizes throughout much of 2026.

The June 23 draw issued 4,000 invitations, an increase from the 3,000 invitations issued in the previous Canadian Experience Class draw on May 27, 2026.

At the same time, the CRS cut-off dropped from 518 to 516.

The combination of a larger draw and a lower CRS score requirement is the first significant improvement for Canadian Experience Class candidates in several months.

For applicants already working in Canada and pursuing Permanent Residency, the latest round may signal a more favourable trend compared to earlier draws this year.

A Look at Recent Canadian Experience Class Draws

Canadian Experience Class draw sizes changed significantly during the first half of 2026.

IRCC issued 8,000 invitations in the first draw of January before gradually reducing invitation volumes over the following months.

By April, draw sizes had fallen to 2,000 invitations, contributing to higher CRS cut-off scores.

The May 27 draw increased invitations to 3,000 but still produced a CRS cut-off of 518.

The latest June 23 draw continued that upward movement in invitation numbers while reducing the CRS requirement by two points.

As a result, this became the largest Canadian Experience Class draw since March 17, 2026, when 4,000 invitations were also issued.

Who Qualifies Under the Canadian Experience Class?

The Canadian Experience Class is designed for individuals who already have eligible skilled work experience in Canada.

To qualify, applicants generally need at least one year of skilled Canadian work experience obtained within the last three years.

The work experience must fall within eligible NOC TEER 0, 1, 2, or 3 occupations.

Applicants must also meet language requirements based on the occupation category.

For higher-skilled occupations classified under TEER 0 or 1, a minimum Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) 7 is generally required.

For TEER 2 or 3 occupations, the minimum language requirement is typically CLB 5.

Work experience gained through self-employment, unpaid internships, or while studying full-time generally does not count toward Canadian Experience Class eligibility.

What Applicants Should Know

The latest draw shows that Canadian Experience Class candidates continue to play an important role in Canada’s immigration strategy.

Because these candidates already have Canadian work experience, they often have an established connection to the labour market and Canadian communities.

For applicants currently working in Canada, understanding how Express Entry, CRS scores, and Canadian Experience Class requirements affect their profile remains an important part of planning for Permanent Residency.

Conclusion

Canada’s latest Canadian Experience Class Express Entry draw resulted in 4,000 Invitations to Apply being issued on June 23, 2026.

With a CRS cut-off score of 516, the draw represents both an increase in invitation numbers and a decrease in the score required to receive an invitation.

For many Canadian Experience Class candidates, the latest round may provide renewed optimism as Canada continues conducting Express Entry draws throughout 2026.
